Top Page Ranking in the FulFillment Industry is Not Easy
Fulfillment is a competitive industry and most companies understand the value of having their name delivered first when the customer looks for a provider.
Key words are pivotal in this industry where the most commonly used term or phrases by users and Providers contains the word "Fulfillment".
How does a company get great organic page ranking when everyone is using the same keywords in their name and content copy?
Use of the the keyword "fulfillment" is further diluted because other industries also use the word. To the extent you add more specific words like "order" or "product" or "services", the field narrows. Many firms approach from logistics, e-commerce, inventory control, shipping, and some 25 total key words.
But there is competition for most of the words.
I don't want to over simplify, but if 100 companies are using the word "fulfillment", then the URL, Title, Headlines, and Copy Content of a site need to be very Search Engine oriented to be competitive. This means the words for which you want to be noticed must be in the right places and have priority over other words.
Other items that search engines evaluate are things as anchor text for each page, number of pages or depth of site, and finally the number of internal links, and links coming into your site. (more on this in the next newsletter). There should be pages for each main keyword. The anchor text seen in your Source Code should have key words as anchor text. This tells the search engines you are serious about this service.
Source Code is treated in another article in this newsletter but it tells the search engines what you think are your most important services. To get page ranking you have to declare and commit to these words (services) and then you have a chance of being matched with the searching customers using these words or looking for these services. But this is just one step in gaining authority.
If you want to maximize your position in the page rankings you have to commit to your words, use them and place them in the right places with consistency and then start moving on to the next steps. Each next step that you perform better than your competition increases your chances of higher ranking. You don't have to be the best on the internet, just better than they are. Part of increasing your page ranking will include analyzing how they are positioning themselves and what they are doing to increase their own ranking.
